GobLab UAI | What are the indispensable skills for people working in the State?
Many government technology projects fail or are implemented without incorporating the user's perspective. Behind these shortcomings lies a fundamental shortage of skills and knowledge on the part of public sector officials. The digital age challenges us with new demands for effective public administration. Postgraduate training programs are not responding to this new scenario. For this reason, the initiative "Teaching Public Service in a Digital Age" was created, a collaboration between a group of 20 university and civil service professors from 10 countries, coordinated by Harvard Kennedy School, to integrate the competencies of the new era into graduate programs in public administration and public policy around the world.
